WARRANTY
WARRANTY
We encourage you to save your dated receipt for proof of purchase as you’ll need it should anything warranty related come up.
If you’re the original purchaser of the product in question and it fails due to a manufacturing defect within six months of the purchase date, you may return it to us for repair, replacement, or a refund of the original price you paid at our sole discretion.
We put a lot of time and testing into our offerings, but keep in mind that every product has a useful lifecycle. The length of that useful product lifecycle will vary depending on how it was manufactured and the materials that went into it, but also because of the maintenance and care the product receives from you and the amount and type of use the product is subjected to over its life.
Our warranty does not cover the following:
-
Products that have been modified, neglected, or used for commercial purposes such as rental, courier, police, security, etc., misused or abused, involved in accidents or anything other than normal use
-
Tight Chutes Co. products purchased from an unauthorized dealer
-
Tight Chutes Co. products purchased from third-party internet sites, including auction websites, and regional trading websites (examples: Amazon, eBay, and Craigslist) are not covered under this warranty, even if you have a receipt
-

Non-Warranty Repairs
If your Tight Chutes gear is struck by lightening, eaten by a wolverine, falls down a mountain, or gets intimate with a desert cactus we will charge you to fix or replace it. The sole exception is if your gear survives a mountain lion attack with you in it and you have photo or video evidence.
If your pack is found with sugary treats by a playful bear, but is recovered by somebody else who tests the thread's heat tolerance and wants to get it fixed, we'll charge them for it. But pictures might get them a small discount.
If a seam or bartack stitch blows out on a relatively new and lightly used piece of gear, we'll probably fix it for free.
If you tear out drawstring cords, shred a gear loop, or get a ham an cheese sandwich hopelessly jammed in a zipper or something like that, we'll repair it for a minimal charge or offer you a discount on a new pack.
Free Replacements, Free Repairs and Discounts are at the sole discretion of Tight Chutes Co., that said we know when a failure is from a mistake on our part, and we like happy customers who can trust their equipment. If your gear shows signs of normal use or abnormal abuse, we'll fix it for a modest fee or offer you a discount on a replacement.
Repairs above and beyond use & abuse, due to accidents, mountain lions, improper care, or sheer negligence, will be performed for a reasonable charge.
We do NOT repair dirty gear. If your gear is dirty, we unfortunately will be forced to charge you $20 to clean it before we can fix it.
